Interior wall faux finishes

I'm mainly a drywall/exterior stucco guy. Doing a whole house stucco job right now and customer wants an interior "stucco like" finish on a few walls. Can any of you point me in the direction of a product that you have worked with or have seen. TIA

Nate

We do a brocade texture on ceilings that looks similar to a skip trowel finish on stucco (without the roughness of the sand), or there are products that are paint additives that give paint a sand texture that's similar to a sand finish on stucco.

Not quite what I'm looking for but thanks. Looking for a product troweled on...but not drywall mud.

Sometime try Tobias Stucco. Very nice product that can be troweled on it many different ways.

Why not just use drywall mud? If it's the drying time - use 20 minute powder.

If all she is going to do is paint it just use JC, I have done 100's of thousands of sf of it under paint and finishes and it is great. Here is my little mix for added strength.

4.5 gallon bucket JC
1 tube quality caulk
1 qt of ProBlock primer
1/2 qt water

Works great and has for many years for me.

I'd go with the Versiplast, will not chip and will hold tight. Have done it dozens of times. Afterward you can paint and colorwash, or just colorwash, depending on the look the client wants. You can get Versiplast from Chicago Institute of Fine Finishes at fauxbykathy.com It is awesome stuff, you can work it down to a suede or build it up with layers to a deep texture, the choice is yours......

Here's a couple of pics

What I do quite a bit is is use interior basecoat such as Kal-base. Then for finish i use exterior finish. You can use any of the synthetic sand finishes or a swirl or worm track finish and the final product is absolutely beautiful.
