Durable Glaze

Got some kitchen cabinets to faux. We do some faux and many cabinet repaints but forget whether the glaze is very durable. Has anyone used Laquer as a glaze?
Pros cons???
Other?

Re: Durable Glaze

You didn't say what technique you are doing, but I would suggest using a professional glaze. Adicolor, Perfetto Inc., Pro Faux, Aqua Finishing are all very good. You should rely on any glaze for your sealer. Use a compatible topcoat to give the cabinets extra durability. My favorite is Ceramathane, it is the best for cabinets, countertops and floors.

Re: Durable Glaze

KD
Icant find any of these product distributors around here.
I have not lookedfor the aqua products yet.
Can you be more specific. We finished the bas coating of the cabinets this morning. Tomorrow I willfind out if the owner would like to add any distressing to the process. I kind of think thatthey will not want much any at all. So Monday we will most likely apply the patina prior to the glazing which could be done tuesday. I am hoping to get this info in time to sample it.
Please please respond.

Re: Durable Glaze

One of my favorite glazes is Bella Fresco. It is a very durable glaze and wonderful to work with. You can find it at www.fauxbykathy.com go to the 'shop the store' page. There you will also see a host of other professional products.......
