Can texture be added to paint?

An old lady I know wants to repaint her studio but it was never textured. It has really funky seams and corners and with some water damage. She wants to slop something over all the flaws that will do some coverup. Can something be added right to the paint to add a bit of texture. It doesn't have to be fancy, just simple and preferably one-coat. Any suggestions?
