Re: Bellagio Faux?

WOW! I gotta give you credit for sticking around Mr. Behr Paint Sales Representative

Those joke ratings you use as examples have their surveys done with Homeowner/DIY'ers NOT Professional Painters.

You keep telling yourself it's a good product.

BTW, do you have any pictures of your work? And, I don't mean ones out of the Behr catalogue that you use to sell your crappy paint

Have you heard of Consumer Reports way up there in the "Not So Great White North"?? They use DIY'ers????? To test the products??? Are you smoking caribou crack?? You think they ask homeowners how they like Behr paint??? Hello??????? I know you only build decks for a living(a dying profession) buy try and do some research before you make a statement. J.D. Powers is based on Consumer satisfaction
Like I said, as more and more SW and BM dealers shut their doors, you'll come around.

Wow, are you really that stupid? Could you have used any more stereotypes in your unintelligent insults?

You, dumb-a$$, have no idea about my business or anything I do for a living. You call deck building a "dying profession" - maybe you're the one that should be doing the research punk!

You should maybe pick up the book "How to win friends and influence people" because with statements like your last one, I guarantee you're not going to be making any friends around here

Hey Bertram..............

The Canadian Deck Guru is just that!!!!! A Guru! So step away from the Mic and learn.

It has gotten to the point of idiocracy and personal insults.

Re: Bellagio Faux?

I live in the land of the Home Creapo. (Misspelled on purpose for Malco ) There are 19 on Long Island that I know of... That's just Nassau and Suffolk Counties... There are even more in Queens and Brooklyn which are within NY city limits, but technically ON Long Island.

I've realized that most homeowners around here think HD is the best place to get all their materials... I do my best during the initial consultations to make them aware that anything HD is usually crap.

People hand me color chips from Be*r (Malco) all the time... I get it matched in Ben Moore from my local paint store. Most of the Sally Housewives that buy Be*r for themselves just don't realize that it's junk.. They're lured into it by the cheap price.

Personally, I've used it twice... After the first time (owner supplied paint), I just couldnt believe it could really be so bad, so I tried it again.... Yep, it's really that bad... And Ralph Lauren paint is even worse.

Re: Bellagio Faux?

I painted 4 new Home Depots all the while sporting my Sherwin Williams duds.

*snicker snicker*

A customer requesting Behr paint would be the only reason why I would rob the food from my family's mouth by refusing to bid the job.

No, I wouldn't even spend the time to explain the reason why other paints are far more superior in an attempt to possibly win the bid.

No.

If the Be*r paint is so great at Home Depot, how come they don't spec on their own buildings when it is built? If Kil* is so great how come they don't paint the Walmarts with it?

We used ICI DeVoe on the Home Depots.

It wasn't bad...and it wasn't good.

Re: Bellagio Faux?

LMAO! I STILL find it incredibly hilarious that a "Pro" painter can't get great results using Behr paint. Can't get over that one, never will. Eventually you'll have to, because it's what your customers will continue to ask for. I give my customers what they want, thats what makes them happy. They can choose colors online with Behr.com and coordinate different colors also. Makes my job easier and gives the customer satisfaction. Plus I save another 20% at the prodesk, which helps in this economy. It's been fun listening to you all whine, have a healthy and happy new year. Don't give up, I know you'll figure out Behr eventually. It's in your best interest!!

Re: Bellagio Faux?

...used it recently (HO supplied); clear base; tint load was ridiculous; still took 4 coats to cover (deep base brown, semi); needed to wait a full 24 hrs to recoat, due to the ****ty drying properties; could have got it in two with any decent paint...shall I go on?

****ing garbage...

Cheers, Ron
