Turnkey Program

Looking for feed back on David Lupberger Turnkey Program. Any one using it? How long. I know I would like to cut back the number of hours I'm working.

Jake

I purchased the system and I am in the process of reviewing and implementing it. There is alot of information in the books and seems so far money well spent. I think it will take 3-4 months for me to customize it for my needs I am hoping to put alot of the stuff to work by the summer. I might sign up for one of his boot camps if I find myself not moving at the pace I would like. It comes with a money back guarantee so that maybe worth atleast taking a go at it if you think it will help you. I think it will take some effort on your part so if you are not commited I don't think the system will work for you. I am lucky that my business partner/girlfriend is so she is doing most of the intial leg work and then gets my input as we proceed.

Sounds like your giving a lot of work away. Anyone can work hard but what you need to do is work smart. I have been in the window business for 30 years. I still work about 50 to 60 hours a week and no vacations for over 10 years. This is not a good thing. I'm try to cut down to a 40 hour week and It whould be nice to take some vacation time.

Thanks to rbsremodeling for your in put.

Jake

I can only add this one tidbit. I have cut back to about 50 hours and soon hope to be down to about 40 hours with atleast to vacations a year. I was able to cut off 20 hours a week by just knowing when to say no. It was hard but you have to get people to respect your boundaries and time. Especially clients it is hard to do but once I started to say no and schedule everything an 8am - 6pm schedule my hours at work drop drastically. No saturdays unless it is an important meeting, sales call that I think is worth it or an emergency.

I swear it was hard, but it works and you keep you health and sanity intact. If you just starting up it is hard but if you been at it awhile it becomes easier.

Have you considered giving yourself a raise and possibly some time off for good behavior?

I am working on it. It is hard when I am the only one who does design and also run a couple of projects at the same time. The only time I get to design is at night. I am also trying to fit in a 1800 square foot addition for my parents on there house. Crazy I know, it is going to be huge! Work is work and money well not a lot of it. Then I also plow during the winter too. Tonite is going to suck. We just had about 15 inches of snow dumped today and with another 10-15 tonite coming ohh boy.

Sounds to me like you need to raise your prices.
