Shallow medicine cabinet?

Anyone have a source for bathroom medicine cabinets that will fit into a 2.5" deep cavity?

HO absolutely won't go for a surface mount, and carving out the plaster & lathe in there could be a large can of worms.

Why not just picture frame the opening with something like a 1x2 , kinda like a jamb extension, & then use a std dpth unit?

The problem isn't so much with the look; it's a tiny room and she doesn't want to give up a fraction of an inch she doesn't absolutely have to. We'll probably just wind up hanging a mirror there and be done with it.

Unfortunately, one of her reasons for doing the room is that she wants to up her chances of selling the place a couple of years down the road. People like storage space for their small stuff somewhere other than in a vanity drawer.

My company sells them. The overall size is 16x22. The RO is 14x18x2.5.

I don't know if it will be convenient for you to buy from them but the website is: cwip.com.

the part number is 11801.

Thanks! I'm not a part of any of those member organizations; I'll give a call tomorrow and see what the scoop is.

It least that lets me know the critter does exist.
