Porcelain Tile

Is 6.75per SF a high price for 12X24 porcelain tile?

ya, and is that installed labor only or mats too? 12X24 sounds commercial.

Re: Porcelain Tile

12x24 tile is probably special order, and that would account for the higher pricing. $2.50-$5 is more typical.

Just make sure to charge properly for it!

How do you order tile online economically? They are charging more than anybody would pay if they have an account with a tile wholesaler just for the tile, not to mention paying $200 for trucking. Are they in Boston so you pick it up yourself and at least save the shipping?

Re: Porcelain Tile

I can get a container full of tile for pennys a ft. but what the heck am I going to do with million sq. ft. of one type of tile, I don't own a showroom.

I let the HOers pick, pay for and have delivered, I just install it and get them a discount at a few showrooms I deal with.

Re: Porcelain Tile

I do commercial jobs and it comes in handy
with this guy doing a 12x24 tile sounds commercial

I'm doing 23 townhomes all with master bath floor and shower tile
bulk comes in handy then

the site I gave has 300 sq ft min. orders on porcelain and ceramic
and like 150 sq ft on stone

And they do have good deals and clearance items

and its only $70 for shipping not $200

yea, if I'm doing a little bath or a single kitchen

I meet with the HO at a tile shop
