One End Of Walkway One Inch Shorter Than The Other One...

The company that's remodelling my bathroom by making it bigger has framed the new extended wall, cut into the floor, wall and ceiling and when I measured the walls I found out that there is ONE INCH (1") difference between one bathroom wall and other in front of it and same 1" difference is in the width of the walkway that's gonna be next to the bathroom. One end of the walkway is 53 inches wide (must be 54") and another one is 54".
Now it's quite a job tro fix this messing up the floor again etc. Can you tell me is one inch kind of "allowable" or not? Because standing outside of the "future walkway" I can even visually see that "missing inch" and I can see how the walkway narrows down at the end even if it is "only" one inch difference between it's two ends. So what would you do?

enigma, I see you're fairly new to the forum so I'll pass on some advise. There is no need to post your question twice under two different headings.
