Latest Kitchen/Bath
So this is one of my first complete gut and redo on a kitchen and bath. I usually do new construction, and have done smaller scale remodels. What do you guys think?

Nice work.
We just winterized a house for an estate with three baths just like your "before."

Re: Latest Kitchen/Bath
Nope, the old tub was probably the heaviest thing I have ever tried to move without a crane though. No joke. Talk about not expecting things, I pulled the trap off that sink and it was just packed and rusted. No one had lived in the house for 2 years, I was gunna check the rest. so took the pipe wrench to the elbow to takeit off and the pipe just crumbled all through the wall. It was all junk so had to redo it all.

Re: Latest Kitchen/Bath
No one ever told you how heavy those old cast iron tubs are? Best thing for those...sledge hammer, the little bits aren't so heavy then.

Re: Latest Kitchen/BathQuote:
yeah good call, I wasnt impressed with the plumber but it was in the middle of nowhere so I had one choice. I called about 15 others and no one would come. So i wound up with a fenco attachment in the basement that leeked and it was not a good place for a it, I didn't know what would be better really so I couldnt tell him but in hind site I figured it out., a crooked sink I fixed. And a not hooked up fridge or dishwasher. I also had to take the shower handle off and flip it over. |

Please note this can be very dangerous. You will need eye protection and we usually cover them with a blanket and hit the blanket. This keeps the schards from penetrating your skin and eyeballs.

Re: Latest Kitchen/Bath
that back left wall in the kitchen had a huge hole in it for a set back refridgerator reframed it then rehung the wall, then the exteriors had blow in insulation that we rebatted then rehung, the divider wall in the bath ripped out the exterior and reinsulated, then basically tore the other wall down behind the sink to replace the plumbing and electrical. So we left a few walls that we basically empty. We also redid the siffit with sheetrock instead of 3/8s ply I guess it was a 85% gut lol

Re: Latest Kitchen/Bath
What kind of camera/lens did you use to take the after pics? I like the perspective. That's one of the hardest things to do with a regular old digital camera is to get the entire room in a single frame.

Re: Latest Kitchen/Bath
Not to bust in on a thread, but, I have an older Nikon CoolPix 4300 camera and bought a wide angle lens for it. You can actually get an entire bathroom in 1-2 shots, not 4-5 with a regular lens.
