Re: Kitchen Install

That question simply can not be answered.

For instance I can probably fit 3 NYC "basic" kitchens in another kitchen any where in the country.

Re: Kitchen Install

Ron, Nobody on this forum can give you an answer to your question. I will try to give you some help so you will be able to answer your own question. First you need to decide how much time it is going to take you to do the install. You said you have done kitchens before so this shouldn't be to hard for you. Next you have to find out how much you need to charge per hour. To do this you will need to add up all your expenses, insurance(hope you have this), fuel to get to job, company vehical maintenance, tools, taxes, any costs that you have to pay for your business, and don't forget your profit/salary. Are you providing the materials? Materials are usually pretty easy to figure out, the price you pay for them plus 10-15% for your handling charges to deliver them and for your time to figure out what you need and order it. There are alot of variables to answer a question like that but you can ask other questions to help you figure out a price to charge on your own. Good luck and hopefully this is a start for you.

Re: Kitchen Install

Be careful charging by the foot as there is much more involved than just setting cabinets.
As long as you know about how long it will take you are in good shape.
Now just figure what you want to make a day/week.

Re: Kitchen Install

my typical cost is the typical price and I don't budge from that. Once we've determined its a typical kitchen, all bets are off, they are going to see it again.. So typically its about 300-350 a knob and if they choose pulls..., we'l I'm pretty screwed

Re: Kitchen Install

I can give you a starting point I like to get 50 dollers a box 5 dollers a foot for crown 15 bucks for inside and outside corners vallance and fillers 50 bucks each I supply shims and screws glue . Most jobs are done in a 10 hr day and cost 3200 bucks . I was useing $35 per box up untill last year. Home cheepo is starting to go with 50 bucks a box If its my remodel i charge more plus markup material. Most kitchens we do get new windows and walls moved around, new sheet rock elec plumbing tile or wood floor , In NY we can do our own plumbing but need a elec licence to move a lite . You really need to find out how much money you need to live and pay your bills , then you would no how much money you need to make per day Then if you can figure out how long the job will take you wont have to ask on the net how much to charge !
