Ideas for this step...
This is a step in an investment property....I was wandering the options in concrete or just building a wood deck. What is everyones opinion?

Providing the piece next to the step (the one that slopes the wrong way) doesn't hold water and leak into the basement, I would just build a wood deck over the step and the patio. Neither of them have much curb appeal.
Don't forget about the flaking foundation before covering it up. It may or may not need repairs, but by my statement above, I'm NOT advocating covering it up for the purpose of hiding needed repairs, just covering it up to hide cosmetic shortcomings.
Not that I think you would, just a little disclaimer .

Can't you just jack the rest of the house up so it is level with the plane of the stairs? Then all you would need is a little patch mix for the crack.

How do you do that drawing on the computer, mtpgoat?
If it's really high tech and complicated, ignore above question.

I would not go over that stoop with brick. If you want a deck, tear out what is there and regrade for proper drainage. Then build the deck.
If you want concrete, tear out what is there, put in new concrete and grade for proper drainage. You will have moisture problems with that basement the way the grade is now. (if the basement isn't already leaking).

ron schenker - I am a web designer...I did that real quck if you look at the background you can see the basketball goal cut-out.
The house did not show moisture problems...but that concrete problem will be fixed not matter what look happens after that.
I think brick is a good idea....
How long would that take?
How much money?
comps on the area show a cap of about 100k
