House Intercom System

I have a customer that needs a Rittenhouse Intercom system. The model number is M9030 or M9031. It is the Deluxe Master unit. Rittenhouse was a small part of Emerson Electric. If you have one laying around that you pulled out of a job, I want to talk to you.

Thanx, Jeff

PS if anyone knows if they are generic, i.e., if I can swap a Nutone with it or any other ideas, please email.

CONTACT Nutones service center in cincinatti ohio they can tell you if they have somepthing that will work , they fixed one of theirs for me and said they could repair nutone units back to the 1930 s with vacum tubes in them, worth a try.

Re: House Intercom System

This past week I replaced a 25-30 year old Nutone unit with new Nutone master unit. It seems as if the major concerns for upgrade are:
1. # of wires in each cable from remotes to master
2. Guage of wires
3. Each remote as its own cable running back to master

You may have to replace remotes also but that beats having to rewire house. I would contact your local Nutone rep for guidence. Good Luck

Re: House Intercom System

Thanks for that. I got a reply from the Rittenhouse repair place ans they figure that I will need to replace all but the wiring. I will be givin NuTone a call after I do a decent inventory of the wiring system...
