Genesis Strips / Tile Trim ?

How do you guys feel about using Genesis strips or other types of tile trim. I Kind of feel like it is a short cut. Am I being overly critical? I am not refering to the metal version as much as the plastic.
Opinions Please:

PVC plastic= cheap

Properly installed/fitted aluminum Schluter= high end

I'm guessing that "Genesis" is some "knock-off" brand of Schluter...?

Here in Canada we have a "knock-off" product that goes under the name "Drummond"...the box stores sell it. It costs about 70% the price of genuine Schluter and is available in a limited number of profiles/finishes. The finish is horrible...I don't use it, it looks like beside the real thing.
If someone's so cheap that they won't spend an extra thirty bucks on quality tile trim, I definately won't be there doing their work anyway...

Cheers, Ron

top grade aluminum tile trim is good choice, as for plastic one there are many disadvantages, usually fragile when used over more than one years and in China it's quite cheap, just less than 20% of the price in Europe, so it's really good commercial chance to buy from China, ofcourse large quantity is neccessory. welcome to exchange information among countries and over continent.
