Finishing Toy Barn Suggestions

I have a 30x40 pole barn that we just put concrete in. I plan to finish it off inside and heat it. It's gonna cost about $300 for 2x4's to finish the ceiling and about another $300 for sheetrock for the ceiling. Doing steel instead of sheetrock is another $500, just for the ceiling. I really would like to have something sturdy, preferably wood on the walls, but I like the brightness of sheetrock or white steel. Anyone have any other suggestions? What would you use?
Thanks

1/2" Plywood painted white? It's cheaper than sheetrock right now anyways.

Re: Finishing Toy Barn Suggestions

I was thinking sheetrock for the ceiling to light it up, and then OSB for the walls. The wall height is 8'7" so 12' sheets of sheetrock would be wasted. I am building the wall studs horizontally like perlons, so the wall sheeting must go vertically. Think that would be bright enough with flourescent lights? I think plywood is higher price than osb, but osb looks funny painted.
Thanks for the response. Any others are welcome.

Plaster it, of course.

You can get drywall in 9x4 sheets.

Wow - maybe it's because of your location. Here in Boston we have a USG (United States Gypsum) plant a short ride away, and we're farther from all those nice tall trees you have in the West, so drywall is half the price of even CDX.
