Estimates For New Spec Home Owners

Is it even worth going out to a brand new spec home to do an estimate for a basement finish out(or anything else for that matter)? I'm tired of hearing "but the builder's price was 20k".

Re: Estimates For New Spec Home Owners

Wait till you hear, "but the new basement finish system only cost 15k!"

I've had no luck with basement finishes at all. Those flimsy insulated panels are killing the market. The thing is, they aren't as good as a well built wall, but price is on everyones mind right now.

I'm shur the price they were quoted was when the builder was there and doesn't reflect the cost of re-mobilizing (maybe I'm wrong).
