Composite Kitchen Sinks

I am remodeling a kitchen.

Formica countertops, Composite granite rim mounted sink...by Pegasus(?) HO supplied all material
Anyways,
The mounting system used on these sinks will not work as designed as I have no edge in the front or rear of the contertop to install as they are not longs enough...
This is the first time I have ran into this situation and have used this composite sink.

Any one else ran into this or have any suggestions

Re: Composite Kitchen Sinks

sounds like an undermount sink. tell the h.o. to return and get a swanstone. no more problems

Re: Composite Kitchen Sinks

I have run into problems with drop in sinks that use Elkay or other rim screw/clip options to secure them.

The trouble I get into is the hole was miscut too close to the front or rear edge, or the counter top depth is too shallow to allow the clips to grab onto anything.

For drop-in sinks, I have used silicone and lots of weight to secure them to the counter top, but did this with the HO's permission with the understanding that there is no warranty for leaks around the rim.

Can you post a pic of the mounting hardware and underside of the sink?

hey double a elkay " lustertone series" leave zero room for error on cutouts. a generic cutout usually won't work.
