2009 Energy Tax credit

I am looking at window manufactures and not too many meet this factor for windows for tax credit.
u value .30 or less
shgc .30 or less
Has any one else look in to this .
Where did they come up with this number for windows.
.35 would include a larger selection.
What is listed on web site is not always what comes to the job due to different options for windows.

The idea is so its very hard to qualify. Theyre not trying to make it easy. Politicians dont let you keep more of your money without a fight.

Here is the latest information on the Tax Credit from the IRS
Looks like the IRS is allowing homeowners to use the Manufacturers Certificate to prove the windows qualify rather then window NFRC stickers.
I have included a link if you need to read what the IRS is asking for not only for windows but other energy products:

Most of the window manufactures I deal with (ie: simonton, dove, silverline, ect) all offer a higher low-e/ argon package that increase the u factor to at least 30. It might be just asking for a step up package. Right now most window manufactures are being forced (because of market demand) to offer this.
