Question

Website Remodelling...need Feedback

I have been working to change the look of my website during these holiday/slow times.
Here is the link to the new site, just two pages are uploaded for this, the rest is almost complete, before I upload, can you please give me your feedback for overall look of the first impression?
http://www.designershardwood.com/leathercork.htm

and only other link in there working is
Leather Floors
which has picture lightbox presentation.

Some pictures needs to be worked on probably in MAC as graphic editing w/windows sucks.

If you use any browser other than IE, please comment if it looks odd.
Thanks in advance.

Personally, the white on black hurt my eyes and I quit trying before I finished a sentence.

Just me maybe. I know some like it that way.

Looks great. White on black hurts my eyes. There is a science to making print comfortable. The white looks great with the contrast, but google a bunch of successful companies, and I'll bet you don't find one site with white on black. I'm redoing my site. Simple, size 12 font. Content is what you wish to put on your page.
Colors are appealing to people, but if you research it you will find that Amazon, Ebay, Google, all use orange, blue and reds. With black content.
Sounds so easy a caveman can do it.

Your website is decent, but may I suggest adding some Search Engine Optimization words to your pages, especially the home page. There is a company called Footbridge Media who does Contractor Websites That Sell and the basics premise is to ensure that people first find your site, and currently your home page is not helping you do that. Good luck. Phil
