Website progress

Just an update.
I built my new site about 7 months ago. Good traffic, few leads.
In the past week 4 leads from the website (I ask). I have more changes to do but they will be small ones.
I wish I knew what the hell is going on.

Wow. I like your new site. Well I guess it's not new. But I do remember your old one. Maybe potential customers are doing that "Remodel pricing-rough estimate document on your Home page and are getting scared off? They should probably contact you to hear a price. I've never been a big fan of rough/ball park estimates. Your either to high or to low for you to even wanna do the job after you see it person. Hope this helps.

I can't see anywhere that needs changes. The landing page is spot on. The about us section contains everything it should and makes me want to use your services. The gallery contains professional-looking craftsmanship. Great testimonials. The WOW kitchen trailer is interesting, and I wonder what the coffee tastes like.
You got everything in place.
I would just keep up with articles. And turn those into landing pages to attract search engine attention from other keyword phrases.

have you looked at your tracking reports to find out where your referrals are coming from?

Also the keywords being used (for search0 might tell you something.

If it turns out that your new leads seem to be coming from definable area, then you can concentrate even more effort there.

Make sense?

The site looks nice. It looks like whoever coded it put some effort into making it search engine friendly.

Len knocked it out the park with your site.

I don't think he missed anything and nailed every aspect of what a good website should contain and look like.

I think you have one of the best construction sites I have seen in a long time.

Yeah, and is this compliment leading up to a request for a personal loan?

It was but I just remembered you said I had to wait 90 days before asking you for money again.

Hello

Yes, your website looks nice, and I don't know what you mean that you don't know whats going on, you talking about getting more biz? You could try an AdWords Campaign, and see what happens. Or do some 'Off Page' SEO and Promotion.

went to your site. just a few things:

your phone number uses dashes(-) in the heading but elswhere you use dots(.) also, the white background doesn't blend well for me. got my attention though..

on your handyman page, "category of service" is misspelled "catagory of service"

otherwise, it is spot on with info, expectations, processes, etc. Great site.

Silver, YOU ROCK.

First on page for
Twin cities kitchen bath
Minneapolis kitchen refacing
St Paul kitchen refacing
Minneapolis kitchen remodeling
and 10 or more other terms.

On some days I am lower on page 1 or even on page 2?

Agree with other's comments - well constructed site! Professional and includes all of the right kinds of information to attract prospects into calling you.

I would make a suggestion, however. Think about all the visitors that come to your site that aren't quite ready to call you and get sold to - they like what they see, but they browse the site and then go away. Those are the folks that it would be good to get their contact details.

You have a great resource on your site - the free rough estimate guide, yet you give it away without capturing information from those that download. If it was my site, I would link this download to a small opt-in form - just name, email and phone number. Have this go into an autoresponder and then allow the prospect to download your info.

Also make the guide more prominent - include a picture of it, so it looks official and put it on the right hand side, above the fold of the site. You will get many more leads this way - try it and post the results if you like the idea.

Are you using adwords? You would get jobs.

Do you have anyalitics set up so you can see how people get to your site.

do you have google analytics implemented with tracking on your lead completion page? you need to know which seo or advertising resutls are driving actual leads. you might be ranked #1 for a thousand terms, but they don't pay. you really need closed-loop tracking to know this.

in general the site looks good. however, the home page was a little conufsing to me -- you are asking people to follow a 1-2-3 process before they even know they are interested. why not suck them in with a slide show of some of your best/sexiest projects? also, i did notice that the form fields took several seconds to come up on your contact us page. maybe that is killing your conversion?

also, do you track how many phone calls are actually driven for the web site?
