Re: Uda Software

Can you be a little more specific? I have the 2004 version I might be able to answer a question or two. Just got a mailer from Uda for their 2007 version, looks a little different than mine.

Re: Uda Software

I'm no master at using the full potential of the Uda system but here is what I can tell you. You are going to need to spend some time and set things up like filling in your cost codes for items, what items etc. Now for example on the stair bid, I usually count up the items such as balusters, newels, treads, skirts etc. and enter them into the spreadsheet with my cost codes and it tallys thing up. I have different cost codes for each item and for different style or type of the same item.

As far as contracts go their is a ton of different type available on UDA. But they all need to have some info filled in by you, I have a few different types that I use. Find one or more than likely several, read through them fill in missing info make changes so that your comfortable with them and then take them to a lawyer who specializes in this stuff.

Now for invoices they really aren't set up for that, that why they integrate with Quickbooks. I didn't like the integrated part of it but what I did is to "parallel" the cost codes between uda and QB.

You could really write a book on the subject, I guess that why my manual is 320 pages. I would just spend a little time playing with it and read the manual.
