Software For Takeoff,markup And Estimating?

Hey guys,

could anyone recommend good software where I can take a PDF file of a floor plan and add all symbols for security, telco, access control, automation, surveillance, etc.

Hopefully it also will help me do takeoffs and estimate with?

Much thanks for any help.

I don't know of any software specific to the industry but for PDFs any good editor will do what you want

My recommendation is to try each for a week or so. Once you get invested in a takeoff system (money, but especially time) you won't want to switch.

You can even use Adobe's Acrobat (not Reader) to mark them up, but it will not be as convenient.

For what you want, bluebeam sounds like a good choice.

Bluebeam is good (I use it) - but On Centre (On Screen Takeoff) really takes it to the next level. I’ve found it’s easier to use and creates nicer reports.
