SEO Spam

Search Engine spam. Is Goliath cloaking or index spam. I have seen this on some sites.

Just wondering.

Re: SEO Spam

Spamming is said to be frowned upon by Google but look who is on top. Type in "bathroom pictures" or any other customer's search words and "view cache" of the top sites to see some spamming. All the contractor referral web sites who charge $50 to contractors for poor leads are on the first page.

I have been working on my site for a year now to be getting 400-500 visitors per day with about 2 page loads per visitor. I think you have to spam somewhat to rise in the organics otherwise Google will never find you. Or you can just pay a $1 or $2 a click to Google and not worry about SEO and organic searches.
Having established my top 10 or 20 keywords in their hierarchy. I have tried to keyword everything starting from my page title which doesn't have my company name in it to alt tags on all pictures with key worded descriptions under each picture. The google bots are brainless and just see how many times a keyword comes up on a page or is linked to a page with the same keyword.

I think you have to spam. "View cache" of the websites in your searches and also "view page source" to see the page code.

Hey Wetwash, how's business?

Re: SEO Spam

SEO is nowhere near as hard as people make it out to be. I was guilty of that for a long time. Most of the phrases local contractors are trying to rank for have no competition and are easy to hit. Its the generic ones that take time and/or money.
