SanDisk 1GB Flash Drive


I just picked up a 1GB USB Flash drive. It has this U3 crap on it and I was wondering if I could just format the drive without making the drive useless. It is partitioned into two separate drives, one for the U3 files and one for data storage. I assume that I can do this but wanted to double check. If there is anything special that I need to do please elaborate. Thanks everyone and Happy New Year.

You have probably already done so... but yes, you can reformat the usb drive.

Actually, you need to "uninstall" the U3 data first. Then reformat. You can learn more here:
