Replacement For BidFax
My company is having trouble with our BidFax software. It is outdated and the company that made it has been purchased by another. We are looking for a suitable replacement that can be utilized by all estimators from their desks.
What is everyone else using to solicit bids from sub contractors? How does it work/do you like it? What is the best replacement? Thanks, Blair |

Re: Replacement For BidFax
Thanks for the heads up. Has anyone ever used Pipeline RFQ? How about any of their other products?
Thanks, Blair |

Re: Replacement For BidFax
We use Power Tools Bid Solicitation software. It is a lot like the old Bidfax. I didn't want to go with an internet service. Happy with them and support is great.

Re: Replacement For BidFax
It's hard to tell who you guys are from the limited profile section. This is right up my alley of interest since my passion is connecting contractors to other contractors. I do have some questions but was hoping to do them offline in order to avoid any competitive conflict of interest. Please send me a note to bjaveline [at] servusxchange.com and reference this thread. One challenge that I see with the product mentioned is that each subcontractor should have a way to work beyond just the bidding process and that is something that we may be able to co-market with once I understand more. Thanks for introducing them.

Re: Replacement For BidFax
We went with PipelineRFQ, it works like BidFax but with a lot more features since it is web based...like being able to post our plans and specs online if we want to, so our subs can download them for free which has saved us a ton of money. Subs can respond online too. I think the whole system is called PipelineSuite which includes the online plan room built in. It was the best value compared to everything we looked at and easiest/fastest to use.
