Remodeling Takeoff Software?

Help! I use a tablet when I meet with a client and use only the hand drawings to take back...I'm asking if anyone has a suggestion on what takeoff software to use with a database to pull from to put together an itemized cost breakdown/estimate. I have usually done only hand tabulations and am looking to speed up the process and clean up the estimate so I can read it when Im done.

any advise would be appreciated..

mike

Re: Remodeling Takeoff Software?

Mike, are you trying to peform the takeoff at the customers location?
Also tell me a little more of what exactly you need your software to do for you.

Are you going to do the actual takeoff on the tablet pc or your office desk top??
Is the tablet your main computer?

Re: Remodeling Takeoff Software?

Aladdin,

I would like to come home with my tablet, dock it and then use a software program to itemize and summarized all the details that i write down on hte tablet...

I use the tablet to save written notes on hte computer and also show the client while on the site pictures of past work.

Re: Remodeling Takeoff Software?

So you are going to dock your tablet and create the estimate/bid on another computer or the same tablet??

What is your budget for a estimate program?
