Quickbooks Premier Contractor Vs. Pro

What are you guys using my accountant gave me Quickbooks simple start and that is a joke. I called Quickbooks and they told me that if I only did paperwork a few times a year to get Pro, but if I did it weekly to get Premier Contractor that the job costing reports would help out but if not updated weekly would not work. She said Pro was much more forgiving, but there were some terrible review on www.amazon.com. I am not sure which one would suit me better as a small one man residential general contractor. I know I need something that will separate jobs. Thanks in advance.

I've been using premier for a few years now... Pro would have been good enough though. The differences are too minor to even mention. Mine came with industry specific accounts, wooopy doo... like I couldn't have done that anyway...

I do about $2M a year on maybe a dozen jobs with ten different customers and three dozen vendors. QB Pro suits me fine and produces everything I need to run the business, outsource payroll, report payroll by job, provide financial reporting to sureties and get my taxes done professionally. I don't use it for estimating.

I've used QB Contractor and can't stand it. It doesn't integrate with anything else I use and is way too complicated. Currently looking for something else.

Hi- new here- lots of great info. I LOVE my QB contractors - it does intergrate with excel which integrates with a lot of other programs. I find the job costing and tracking more than helpful- I can instantly know how much I have paid a sub for a job, how much is in the bank, download my bank statement, email invoices ...... I have used it for many years from small home office companies to huge commercial demo companies- however- one thing to remember GIGO
