Portable Printer

I am looking for a dependable, good quality portable printer for use in our van to print estimates and contracts. No need for wireless or anything else - just plug into my laptop and print.

I couldn't find any posts related to this - if there are, I apologize in advance. Thanks for all replies.

Bryan

Re: Portable Printer

Try looking at the Canon pixma 90 series.http://estore.usa.canon.com/Specific...?ITEM_ID=31928

I use one and like it alot, but I had to set up an inverter in my truck to get a 120 volt outlet in order to power it in the truck.

Re: Portable Printer

I bought a less than $50 HP all in one at sams club and use an inverter. It works just fine.

I looked at this one too. Do you run it off a battery or use an inverter? What size inverter will run these - cost?

Re: Portable Printer

The smallest I think you can get is 100 watts... I think that would power a printer. Not 100% on that. I use a 400 watt from HD. I think it was $40-$50

Re: Portable Printer

With my Canon pixma IP90 you can get an optional power supply that you plug into the car's lighter outlet, but I ain't sophisticated enought to send off for one when they sell inverters at Pep Boys that work quite well enough.

Re: Portable Printer

I have an HP 460 that runs on a battery or a cord and it's Bluetooth so no wires.

Re: Portable Printer

I think I have the same one as silvertree it has a rechargeable battery and bluetooth and it synchs to my laptop for printing via bluetooth so no wires are needed
