PM Software, Thoughts/experiences/concerns?

Currently looking to get our business optimized. Anyone have any dealings with or currently use a project managing software? Pro's, Con's, recommendations?

We have dl'd the latest version of Microsoft Project, nice, but $$ for our company.

Thanks,
Jon

Screw Micro$oft Project.

Check out Open Workbench... it's a free open source version of MS Project, compatible with 2002 and later. www.openworkbench.org (which seems to be temporarily offline).

It can also be downloaded from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/openworkbench/

Yea, really not a fan of companies that do not let outside software link to their system. We just dl'd the demo version. It is nice how it links to outlook and whatnot.

Thanks for the info Max....just dl'd that program and will giv'er the run around.

I have been using virtualboss for 7 years. Its simple and set up for contractors.

The company will listen and is constantly trying to improve their software.
