Photo Resizing Software, Free And Batch Capable

I hate to resize photos all the time for multiple forums, soooo.....

I stumbled on this software and was wondering if anyone has used this for batch photo resizing and every day usage.

http://picturegirdle.com/

It is one item offered on this site for free and had good reviews, but not many.

Any feedback?

Ed

I haven't tried it Ed....I've been using PixResizer v1.0.9 for some time now....does batch, too.

The newest is PIXresizer 2.0.3 ...maybe I oughta update

I use Easy Thumbnails. It's freeware and can be downloaded at www.fookes.com

It also does batch and provides a great deal of control with image sizing.

Re: Photo Resizing Software, Free And Batch Capable

I used to have a plugin in Windows and what I did I just right clicked on a specific photo and resize to large, small or medium.

Btw.
Do you guys know a software where I can 'stamp' my pictures, like
put our logo in the corner of every picture?

Picnik is great. And no downloading necessary. I use it every day to edit, resize, compress, frame....

It's free, and it's web-based. Awesome.

Also, here's a list of 13 more free tools for website stuff.

Re: Photo Resizing Software, Free And Batch Capable

I'll start by saying that the above programs are probably better if you are just resizing. If you don't do the computer thing well, stick to the above.

If you want a program for resizing and all other advanced features, you can use GIMP. Its an open source equivalent to Adobe Photoshop.

I started using it about 4 years ago, and it's finally to the point of considerable reliability.

Besides installing the program, you must also install a 'batch' plug-in. This is what makes using GIMP a little more advanced. The Batch plug-in will allow you to do all the resizing in groups.

Just throwing this out there.

I've just started using GIMP quite a bit. I didn't know about the batch capability, thanks!

I try my hardest to use open source. GIMP has a great following now, so its easy to find almost anything you need. There are tons of self-made batch processors for GIMP as well as many free script-fu (effects) that are easily found through a search on Google.
