does your version let you set up conditions? Mine doesn't. I too have the free one from the builder exchange and I love it. I just curious to see how many people get their plan electronically

If you get yours through the exchange they should be able to help you get set up. Mine wouldn't let me do conditions until I registered and I was able to use the Exchange license for that. I think if you do any commercial work it's the only way to go.

Re: OnCenter On Screen Take-off

We use it extensively on our projects. It's especially useful on preliminary estimates where items aren't defined (like floor finishes, partition types, etc)- we print the color takeoff drawings and bring them with us, and can show the client exactly what we assumed where.

The only downer IMO is that the program has gotten slower as they've upgraded it. The first version we used around 4 years ago would switch from drawing to drawing as fast as you could select the drawings from the dropdown menu- the new version churns for a while with each page change. The "bid manager" feature is also a little clunky- we used to be able to save project files wherever we wanted to- now they all get put in the central database, which makes it a PITA to take files home, etc.

Other than that, we love it.
