Do you guys still use nextel phones?? My contract is up on all my phones and They are sending me out the new QCHAT CDMA phones to try the sprint version of nextel walkie talkie service. Do you guys still use you walkie talkie service??

I switched over to the sprint cell service with nextel radio...cell service is better then nextel and yes, I still use my radio daily...quick questions with the guys are easier to beep them then calling them

Yup.

Still have it but when the contract is up on my second phone, I'm dropping it and probably getting AT&T or Verizon

Had NEXTEL in 1995. Atlanta was a "test market". The phones were huge. The sound was like a tin-can. The prices were estupido!

Let go of NEXTHELL in 2006.

Been with AT&T since.

No complaints!!!

But out of all the PTT's, Nextels is the best and fastest, if you use it, there's is the best, cell service is horrible

I actually have the sprint side of nextel and they have a sprint version of the direct connect. I will try out the phones and see how they work. I have never had a issue with my sprint service. It has worked everywhere I have been

had it for a few years, let ago last year. garbage cell service. switched to verizon, great service , cant complain

Absolutely not.
Had Nextel for about 8 years. There service became unbearable.
Many times I wanted to throw the phone off the George Washington Bridge.
Whenever I hear someones Fu^&#n Nextel chirp i want to puke.
Verizon makes my life easier.

My old boss gave all the employees Nextel and mostly we all hated them. The beep was annoying and a lot of peole ignored them. To me it's like text messaging....99% of the time, I prefer to talk on a phone of leave a VM. Cell sevice was like a cheap walky talky.

I love my nextel. I use it all the time when we are wire fishing from an attic to a basement, or when we are in different parts of the job site. We also use it in the stores when we need to know where everyone is. My Dad has a nextel to and he direct connects me all the time to ask me random questions that are too unimportant to make a phone call for.

Had Nextel for many years. Hated it. I could talk to someone 1000 miles away but it could not find the business on the other side of town.

I got tired of hearing how people could not get ahold of me.

One of my buddies is a sheriffs deputy and got Nextel solely because it was the only service that would work at the jail where he worked. He found out that yeah it worked at the jail, but didn't work anywhere else. He said it sucked. He ended up canceling and getting Verizon. I've had Cingular/AT&T for the past 10 years and the service works great for me. I had Sprint before that I had so many billing problems that I canceled. I was on the phone with them so many times to get them to correct their mistakes. I won't ever go back even though it's a little cheaper than AT&T.

Just switched to AT&T after 10 years. Service was good initially, but has declined over the years. Most of the people that I used PTT with have also switched, so that feature became less attractive. I have to say, I don't miss that "beep".

We still use Nextel company phones Pretty good coverage here, any time the Nextel has no service my personal Verizon seems to work and it works the same when the Verizon is low the Nextel seems to be fine ??

Had Nextels for years and saved a ton when they came out. Dropped them two years ago and went to AT&T, couldn't be any more satisfied................unless they let me have them for free
