Google is the dominant player. But there are many others out there trying to carve out their niche.
This one will show your related sites by Google database of related sites. http://www.touchgraph.com/TGGoogleBrowser.html Scrolling list of what people are searching for at this moment. Very interesting during big news stories. http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/se...ter=0&qcat=web This is usefull, gives you results based on subject of search. Try searching for a place, or a band etc. It will give you events, travesl options etc. http://www.ask.com/ Human powered search. http://www.mahalo.com/Main_Page Image search. http://www.pixsy.com/ Visual search, 3d result cube. http://www.search-cube.com/ Visual keyword based http://www.quintura.com/ Any of these you like?

The search part of the search engine sucks
And the forma takes the fun out of searching, images overload. no thanks A whole bunch of outdated sites, cached pages. Not easy to be Google
