Multi Boot

Alrighty, geeks and nerds (jeeez, who'd ever think those words were compliments )

Planning ahead for my introduction (read: frustration) to Vista, and not being exceptionally favorable to XP, I'm thinking of ways to have all the cakes and eat them.

the new box is coming with 320 gig drive, which is supposedly PLENTY of space for anything.

Why not do a triple boot ? I've already got a 60 gig drive triple played with 98SE (Pinball Fantasy, my favorite game, will only plat on DOS), and two Win2K's. One is for "hazardous internet duty" where I had planned for my son to download all his P2P viruses, and the other is for my wife - the WW. Anyway, so I'm no stranger to multi boots.

Plan is to partition for each OS, another one or two for the programs, and still another for my data.

Questions: has anyone experiment with dual booting Vista & XP ? (plenty of instructions on the internet)

What size should the XP partition be? 20? 30?
And how much for Vista: 40? 50? Allowing for "normal" growth of the System Directory.
My win 2K partition on this computer is 20 and doing fine -- even with four years worth of Outlook Express email on it.

I've tried dual booting with separate drives, but that got messy for some reason.

any insights and opinions welcome, even from our resident Macaphile, fathersonfab

(BTW, if any of you ever want to dual boot Windo$e and Linux (mandrake), be warned I had a hell of a time with the bootloader).
