Kyocera DuraForce Pro

Anyone have one of these?

I have a galaxy S5 with a lifeproof case that I've been happy with, but the screen is threatening to crap out on me, so I'm trying to be proactive and get a new one before this one dies....

Re: Kyocera DuraForce Pro

I don't have that one. I had the Kyocera before this model. As far as durability, it was great. No case, no screen saver. The screen stayed perfect. The case had a few blemishes, but I expected that and it didn't bother me.

My issue was the software. It was glitchy (sp) (word?) and had to be restarted quite a bit.

I switched to an iphone 6. It was left over from wife. She needed to upgrade. I never need to upgrade. Thought I might as well give it a try, since it was sitting in drawer anyway. It has been fine. Although it's not even close in durability, there aren't any software issues. Sure, some will say, if there aren't any software issues, why do they keep issuing updates. I assume it is to always make it better. I, personally, never had an update with an android phone.

For myself, I wouldn't hesitate to get another kyocera. I've even thought about it, just because I miss the durability.

Re: Kyocera DuraForce Pro

Thanks, I think I'm going to try one, they're not that expensive used.
If I could still get a good case for the s5, I'd probably get another one, but it looks like lifeproof quit selling them on their site, and I had some issues with sound quality on the first couple cases that I got new off Amazon.

Re: Kyocera DuraForce Pro

I have one and I love it.

It is true about the software sometimes being glitchy, but I just restart the phone sometimes at night when I am charging it don't really have that problem anymore.

Re: Kyocera DuraForce Pro

I had the brigadier, and it was a great phone. Totally bullet proof till I lost the little grommet that covered the charging port and I couldnt get a new one anywhere
