Internet Explorer 7
Knowing how late I am with technology this may be old hat but from what I understand internet explorer 7 was released yesterday. I just downloaded it and love it. You can open several pages and it tabs them at the top. You just have to click on a tab to go to that page. Makes navigating alot easier. You can also pull up a page that shows all of the pages you have loaded in thumbnails that you can click on.
Dave. edit: here is the page link http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...px?mg_id=10013

Re: Internet Explorer 7
The Beta caused big problems in Quickbooks 2006 versions. Take care downloading if you're using QB or check their site for information.

Re: Internet Explorer 7
I've had it since the release and love it! No problems with QB either but I'm miserable enough with the older version, I last updated in '03.

It's also got an automatic feed reader (with a magic dinger even), which is nice.

What? My sound is usually off if that is what you mean by 'dinger'.

Re: Internet Explorer 7
I have been using it for close to a week now, The tabs are cool. I used to use firefox but had some compatability issues with a site I use alot, then I switched to Avant browser, another tabs based browser that uses the IE engine (it used IE 6 and doesnt work with IE 7) if you are using IE6 and want tabs google "avant browser" and give it a whirl.
The only issue I have with IE7 is that the tabs cause an issue with an online office suite I use to share documents with clients. It is a javascript issue so until the bug is fixed in IE7 I access that site via netscape 8.1 (which lets you choose between IE rendering and firefox rendering). No javascript issues with netscape. |

Re: Internet Explorer 7
IE7 should work with QB 2006 and above but DON'T download it if you have QB 2005. There is a link on the website to prevent people at your company from downloading IE7 inadvertently. Intuit states it is clearly NOT compatable with QB 2005 or earlier versions.

But I think Quickbooks recently fixed or upgraded their desktop version and their online version so it may be ok. |
