Free Hosting Places
I have not looked into free hosting in some time but did the other day. Man things have changed. I found dozens of providers that off free hosting personal and business, with no ads. I did this not for my business site but for a personal one I am working on. The reason I mention this is it really amazed me at the caliber of service I get for free. Really the only thing missing from them all is SMTP (outgoing mail service) which I worked around. I did get incoming mail (POP) and just pick it up with Outlook, and send through my RR account.
It is amazing. I'm not trying to plug anything so if anyone is interested drop me a not and I can explain more if you have questions. Another thing that truly amazed me. I have setup many sites through the years. It generally takes a few hours minimum to get an account going. I had this site up in minutes. Obviously I had the site built before hand. But the account was ready and the DNS populated in a few minutes. This has nothing to do with the service provider I just was amazed. Paul |

Re: Free Hosting Places
Yeah for a personal site, free hosting is easy to find.
Now for a business, I would never use it.

Re: Free Hosting Places
Cole, I totally understand that concern. And it has only been a couple of days but so-far this service is better, and faster than my paid for company site.
DamionR, I would imagine they want people to upgrade to a paid for service. Update on the service: I have had one support question. It ended up to be my problem but the trouble ticket was answered in 5 minutes. |
