Forced Screen Saver
I have a HP tablet. Because it is in my truck all day I need to figure out a way to force it to screen saver. I have reduced the amount of time it is in operation before it goes into screensaver. Any more reduction is going to be more inconvience. I also have to leave the lid up because I have had someone hack into it unless it is in screensaver mode.
Does anyone know what I can do to force it? |

Wow, that's kinda like a "Panic Button" for when the boss is approaching.
![]() I learned something new today, and never even had to get off the couch.

Re: Forced Screen Saver
Shortcut on the desktop:
Right Click on the desktop New - Shortcut Properties = rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation (copy & paste the bold part) Next Choose a name Next Double click shortcut to lock - I couldn't figure out the one I did a few years ago which also started the screen saver |

Re: Forced Screen Saver
How about a trick to make Vista
stay in sleep mode, when I put it in sleep mode?

Re: Forced Screen Saver
Check your scheduled tasks - and turn off any set to wake computer up
Make sure your system is set to ask for login credentials when waking up Exit IE & WMP before going into sleep mode Or you can always permanently put it to sleep by shooting it... I don't recommend that one though |

I think I've done most of that. Don't even use IE. Sucker may have prostate problems......
