extended warranty work on a camera

I have a digital camera with an extended warranty policy from Walmart. Called the service number and sent it in-two weeks later it comes back w/ a note stating the camera is beyond repair.

Has anyone had experience with this?

They should give you a comparable model since they can't repair it.

I typically won't pay for an extended "service" plan. However, if they offer a "product replacement" warranty, I'll consider the terms. Generally, if they can't repair it, they'll replace it or refund the purchase price. It is a one shot deal, but the warranty can be re-purchased on the replacement unit.

What are the terms of the warranty you purchased?
