Estimation Software

I am a general contractor in NC we do residential remodeling, home maintenance and repair. Mostly kitchen's and Bath's. I am looking for an estimation software that will decrease our time spend on estimating projects. Looking for better accuracy and better tracking of each project. Something that is fairly simple to use. Also looking for some sort of 3D drawing software, floor plans etc. is there anything out there that integrates with quickbooks?

Re: Estimation Software

I highly recommend Xactimate: https://www.xactware.com/en-us/solut.../professional/

check out this page to see which other software it works with, including Quickbooks:

Re: Estimation Software

For remodels I'm not sure it would be as effective, but costtobuild.net has been very helpful for me to suggest as a first step for someone looking at a custom home. It at least forces them to answer a lot of questions and get a ballpark idea of costs before coming to me.

Re: Estimation Software

I would go with XactRemodel - save the money from XactiMate as it is still the same product (last I looked) - they just remove the remediation aspects for fire / water which you don't need anyways

The only catch is dependent on the types of remodels you do, you will probably have to change fixture costs --- http://thehtrc.com/2012/tools-trade-estimates-xactware
