Accounting Software For Mac Users
Found this accounting program. It looks like a deal. I am checking out the demo now. Would love to hear what you guys think.
This thread is for Mac users only btw. PC users will be shamed and ridiculed if they enter this thread. It's called Macbusiness: http://www.brightlightsoftware.com/ |

Re: Accounting Software For Mac Users
Kind of hard to tell if that's a good product or not. It looks as though it isn't out for sale yet.
I have been using the full version of Goldenseal from Turtle Creek Software for over a year now. I'm just getting ready to start using the accounting side of it. I love the estimating side of it. It looks like crap though, something like the bastard love child of System 7 and OS X. NOT pretty! |

Re: Accounting Software For Mac Users
In the finance and accounting software categories for mac, I've found that a lot of the software is style over function. For personal accounting I hear Quicken for mac is pure garbage, even though it might look nice. It's sad since Quicken was initially designed for macs.
You still might want to give QuickBooks a try since it comes with a money back guarantee, 60 days I believe. I like the reports that it can generate. From my research on accounting software for Mac, it doesn't seem like anyone has any one software to brag about. Moneydance might be the only worthwhile finance software on mac comparable to the Windows versions of Microsoft Money and Intuit's Quicken but that's more suited to personal accounting. Try the QuickBooks offer if you have time, let us know how it works out if you do. If you have access to a Windows machine then you might want to consider running either business versions of Microsoft Money or QuickBooks which sadly are superior to the mac versions. OR like someone mentioned in the QuickBooks thread, you can open up a windows program in bootcamp on your mac. Last edited by StairJunkie; 03-21-2008 at 04:30 PM. |

Re: Accounting Software For Mac Users
I use Quickbooks on my mac, when my accountant helped me set it up he said it was a little easier than doing a windows version, just have to get used to hardware/peference differences.
I did find this site a while ago http://mac4construction.com/ |

If you haven't checked out pure-mac.com yet, you might give them a look. They have several under finance in the utilities section. I can't vouch for any of them, though.
