I am off the opinion........

As long as the employee calls, he has the right to TELL his Boss that he is taking the day off (as long as it is not habitual).



There are two responses.....

1: OK see you tomorrow.

2: Unacceptable! You are fired!

If someone needs the day off, they need the day off regardless of the reason.
If a worthwhile employee does not need the day off, they will not take the day off.


It is NOT the business of an employer concerning "the why".

It is simply a question of yes or no.
