Re: Www.jobclock.com

I think the job clock would be great...who's responsible for the unit? Our foremen are the worst abusers!!!!! and also the most expensive! Our foremen leave the job without telling anyone where they are going. If he's in charge to make sure everyone is clocking in and out, how do I know he's clocked out to go check on another job? when he comes back 2 hours later?

I vote for job clocks and GPS supported, company supplied phones for the foremen! I'm cool with leveling the field, let's level it.

hurry up knuckle head im either buying a job clock or a fork lift.....

Ok heres an important question...

Why are you selling the system? Is it because you dont like it, or just dont have a need for it?

Patrick:
Just how will you use the forklift for time records?

We've scaled back our workforce a bit, and we are moving over to using CompuTool for project management, which will allow us to have each guy post their hours directly to a specific job. So, we moved from the simple check in/out of the Jobclock to a paper in/out/where where you... and will break them in to the computerized system next.

With the Jobclock system I have 1 words of advice:
download the records several times a week. Don't wait till the bi-weekly pay period.

This way you can catch it if a clock has a low battery, or on of your guys keeps forgetting when he leaves. It's a lot easier to extrapolate that info when it's a few days old, rather than a week old!

Re: Www.jobclock.com

Ok, here's some more info on what I have:

5 of the newer jobclocks.
3 cases for the newer jobclocks.
9 sets of in/out keys.
The TimeSummit software.
A keytab reader

I also have an older Palm, which we quickly didn't use, because we would just load the software on our phones, and use them.
Also, I've got a case for one of the older Jobclocks... and might have a copy of the old software.

The old stuff IMHO is worthless- I'd give it away to get it out of my hair.
The newer equipment, since it's used I wouldn't feel right asking more than 50% of new cost- and discounts for buying everything is a no-brainer.

I've bought straight from Exaktime, and from Ebay. When you buy directly from the company you get their support for a limited time. If you buy from me or any other person, you loose the free (1 year??) support, but can purchase it if needed.
I had a clock go dead on me that I purchased from ebay. I can't remember the details, but Exaktime was fair with me when I needed to get support- and that ment a lot!

I'd rather make a little less on the sale (can you actually call it "make" when it's a loss??) than over-hype what I have, and hurt another contractor.

When my assistant gets in I'll have her look up the Jobclock costs, so I know approx. what we have into this.
However, figure 1/2 as a starting point, and we can "deal" from there.

Also, once I have the numbers together, I'll put a separate post up in the swap area with pics.

Thanks guys,
~Matt
