im a small co. only me and 2 sometimes 3 guys i just formed an llc was working as dba till now, id say 40 % of work i get is as a sub.
things were pretty good for me this year thou, hoping to keep the work coming and growing what about u ?

We actually have too much right now. If you are interested and run things legit PM me your info, we are looking for GOOD sub crews right now for windows and siding

Actually in MA, LLC's that have no employees can sign off on an exemption form from the State, stating no WC is needed. That doesn't stop some insurance companies though. My 'former' liability insurance company demanded I carry WC even though I'm an LLC, are a 1 person operation, and according to MA general laws, can't get WC. I don't subcontract either.

I explained the laws in MA to the insurance broker, and his response was "you're canceled, carry WC or else". Since then I've moved to a new insurance company, at 60% less in premiums than the other company (the one with the red umbrella) and better coverage...
