What Do You Guys Pay A Freelance Book Keeper?

I do not think i am alone on this.. I absoultly HATE the book keeping end of the business. I can't stand it. I know i need to get it under control.

My dad says i got to do it, because its part of running a business. But i disagree.

I'm looking to hire someone for acouple hours a week just to enter my invoices, expenses, deposits, job expenses, payroll etc into quick books every week.

I'd rather be out producing then doing something i hate.

Whats the going rate for freelance book keeping? I'm guess not more than 5 hours aweek. I am planning on doing 5-6x as much gross sales as last year so i really have no idea how much additional paper work their will be.

Any adivce would be appreicated.

Matt

I do all my own.

Bookkeepers in this area however, can be anywhere between $15-$50 per hour... I'd figure out what you need them for exactly before they decide what you need them for...

Like you handle the estimate / invoice part of qb... Let them handle payroll, bank rec's, expenses...

Look at 2-4 hrs per week, less if you have it setup nicely, and they have a clue as to how to properly use qb... How fast they type makes a difference too.

Go to your local college and grab an accounting major. Most of them will be more than happy to work for weekend play money. $75 per week should be enough to spend.
