Too Much Info On Buss. Checks ???????


It's time to re-order Buss. checks . Wife says dump some of the info !

This is what I have always had for 20 yrs.
Buss. name , full home address , drivers Lic. with exp. date , phone #
I'm in Ca. and I don't put My cont. lic # on the checks.

Since they are business checks, I would dump the license number and exp. date.

My wife doesn't like me tearing up those enticing checks and throwing them in the garbage. She likes to shread that stuff,

Educate me, why would you put anything other than your company name, and _maybe_ business address on your cheque? Why all the personal info? I doubt they would even let you put a DL# on with all the privacy laws we have here.

Many places ask to copy info of the d. Lic. when accepting a check. It's been simple to just point it out on My check. That will change!

Its way to personal and you could probably find out a lot of info on a guy on the web just by knowing ihis drivers license #. Its like your social security #. I was thinking of taking off my home address. Who wants there subs knowing where they live...what if a guy starts off great and then he gets crazy on you..you fire him and then he steals your tools from your garage..it happens.
