Subcontractor Contracts
Do you use subcontractor contracts and are you a GC, a specialty contractor or a subcontractor.
GC specializing in remodel work. We use them for complicated jobs or on jobs over a certain dollar figure. Some subs hate them, some don't care. I'm curious as to how many folks use them and why or why not.

Re: Subcontractor Contracts
My area of Oklahoma is very informal. A proposal or estimate, signed and dated, works for me if I am using a sub I don't know. For the guys we work with all the time and have known lots a years, we don't bother. I know lots of you will cringe, but when my elecrtician quotes me $4.75 a sq/ft to wire a house...I know it will be $4.75 a sq/ft when the bill needs paid, unless there are changes, which he always runs by me before acting on. I really would hate to be in an area where trust doesn't exist.
