Research for a business plan

Ive been working on my business plan the past 2 weeks and I am having trouble finding information about the market trends and the future for New York City. Living and working here, I pretty much know how the market is now and I hear from people in the industry that its starting to pick up again but if anyone knows where I can find some good published info I would really appreciate it.

Also, being a brand new company,I dont have any financial data or anything to really base my annual projections on. I have a home office, use rented shop space when I need it and carry almost no overhead. I have only completed a handful of jobs since starting, nothing I would want to base the next few years on...Any advice on how I should handle this section of the business plan?

Thanks

I don't care who you are or what you do, this statement is most likely way off. Either you or an accountant needs to crunch some more numbers I reckon and figure out your true overhead numbers. You can thank me later.
