Remote Time Reporting/time Clock

What systems have you used for remote/on-site time reporting?

I'm looking for a system where an employee would be able to "punch in/punch out" at a job site and I would know that employee would physically have been there to do that. It's not feasable to have an actual time clock since there are multiple locations and they change daily/weekly.

My initial search has turned up this GPS PDA system- http://www.jobclock.com/info/pocketclockGPS.aspx

Are there any others?

Thanks,
Dustin

This is what we are considering.
It exports to Quickbooks and would be perfect from an iphone.
So, iphones for the job managers and Google apps for everything else.

If you use QuickBooks, it's handy to have your timekeeping system import the time records right into QB. Saves keystrokes and keeps your actuals up to date.

For sure,
3-4 hours every two weeks and lots of frustration avoided.
It will save a lot of time/money and frustration with collecting time sheets

Re: Remote Time Reporting/time Clock

I'd like to find a system that has location verification. Web based allows the employee to clock in and out from anywhere.

Another avenue I've found are phone-based. The employee would use the phone on-site and it would be verified via caller id.

A few that I've turned up so far-
http://www.teleclock.com/Enterprise.asp?cat=36
http://www.clockspot.net/phoneTimeClock.php
http://www.chronotek.net/Information.htm

This one exports to Quickbooks-

The job manager's device can be used or she/he can clock them in.
Don't a lot of these devices and smart phones have GPS?

Re: Remote Time Reporting/time Clock

We use smartclock which has several options. We use fingerprinting and scan cards and a keyfab for our office workers.

All of our installers use the fingerprinting and all our warehouse employees use scan cards. But we also have GPS in all our trucks.

Go to www.smartclock.com and check them out. They have been around for ever.
