Referrals, Networking, Bulleting Boards?
Guys, does anybody know whats the best way to offer my design/drafting services to contractors? Do you have any Bulletin Boards or Referral places I could advertise in? How did you find your drafters? Please share your experience!

Re: Referrals, Networking, Bulleting Boards?
How about putting a little portfolio packet together with some of your previous work along with some references. Send 'em out to the contractors in your area. Try a few hundred (and yes, this will cost some $).
And please, make sure they look professional, you're a designer right? Don't send out something that looks like you paid your 12 year old nephew to put together. Follow up with a phone call a week or so later. Hit 'em with a nicely designed postcard another month out. Wash, rinse, repeat. 99% of your literature will probably hit the circular file (trash), but it's a #'s game. Good luck. J |
