Question On SERVICE MAGIC

We have received a call from 'Service Magic'. I know who they are and what they do.

What are you 'opinions' of them? Any experiences?

I have read mostly negative freedback so far on my 'net' research. (about 3 comments)
The negative info...was minimal,......... as I did not find alot of info. on them....

Any help/thought/opinions are appreciated.....

Thanks-

Re: Question On SERVICE MAGIC

Try a quick search on the forum and read on for a few hours.

Personally, they used to be alright with crediting bogus leads. Now it's just a hustle.

Definately not worth it unless you are into trench marketing/selling and love lowballing in the rare chance you actually get a person. It's sorta been a continual digression. They do have an exact match program that isn't bad. If you do try it I would suggest the lead select program.

You'll get a better ROI on a vinyl sign on a light pole.
A little guerilla marketing.

Re: Question On SERVICE MAGIC

We use them. It's some dead leads, and a few you'll have to remind them to refund you for (wrong area, etc.)

But, it's leads.
Can you sell?
Do you need work?
Do you want to reach people you arn't otherwise reaching?

Consider them then. To limit your expenses, only get leads for projects you really want, and limit your area too.

I'll take paying for the mowing leads that are too far away to get the ones for mowing right on our route!
I'll take the deck leads with the homeowner suppling his own HD lumber (no, but thank you sir for calling!) in order to get leads for jobs like this:

One of our bigger projects of last year.

I hope this helps.

Re: Question On SERVICE MAGIC

We are not looking for work, nor are we desperate.

It sounds like it's a lot of time wasting from what I have read thus far....and we are too busy to spend time on leads that don't pan out.

Any additional thoughts appreciated.

Atlantic - You said it in a nutshell - I dropped them last year as I was spending too much time and money on bogus leads and rarely ever got credit for them. 7 out of 10 were totally worthless, 2 of the others were tirekickers, and the last one was looking for a legitimate price, but usually much lower than mine. (Can't live on $15 an hour)
